Bedford sings came about as a way of celebrating all that already happens in Bedford, it aimed to bring together many of the existing singers and choirs in order that we could share our experiences, attend each others’ concerts, learn from each other and plan exciting choral events in the future.

Duncan Fraser Project Director has been around choirs since being a church organist and choirmaster at 12. He founded a vocal ensemble at school and conducted all the school choirs. He directed choral concerts at Oxford and created the Bolton Youth Choirs and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Youth and Gospel Choirs. He is the founding director of Bedford Sings. As a composer he has had many performances (Magdalen and New College Oxford, Edington Festival, Gaude and most recently the premiere of his passion, Be Loved : A Passion which tells the story of the women in the Easter story at St James’s Piccadilly.
